The Food and Horticulture sub-sector has a main work program, namely the development of food crops and horticulture as well as the development of organic agriculture. This development is supported by the production of food crop seeds such as rice and various vegetable seeds. One of the innovations in the sub-sector of food and horticulture is the vermiculture farming concept that can be used for agriculture in narrow areas.
The food and horticulture sub-sector is supported by facilities in the form of:
- Productive agricultural land includes rice fields, plantations, and organic gardens,
- Screenhouses and greenhouses
- A test site equipped with various supporting equipment.
